Welcome to PodPad. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using PodPad (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Description of Service

PodPad is a secure, privacy-first platform for temporary code and text sharing. The Service allows users to:

• Create temporary "PodPads" containing code or text
• Set password protection for viewing and editing
• Configure automatic expiration by time or view count
• Share content via short, memorable URLs
• Organize content with multi-block support and groups (Pro users)

User Accounts

Account Types

• Guest: No registration required. 1 PodPad per 24-hour session, 1 Short URL per 24h, 3-hour auto-delete, ~15,000 character limit, single code block.
• Free Account: Registered users. 2 Guest PodPads per 24 hours (rolling window), 2 lifetime Pro PodPad trials, 2 Short URLs per 24h, 3-hour auto-delete on all pads.
• Pro Account: Paid subscription at ₹99/month. Unlimited PodPads, unlimited blocks, permanent storage, team collaboration, version history, VS Code IDE view, unlimited short links with custom slugs.

Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Providing accurate and complete registration information

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use PodPad to:

• Upload, share, or distribute malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Share content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Distribute illegal content or facilitate illegal activities
• Share personal data of others without consent
• Attempt to bypass security measures or access restrictions
• Use the Service for spam, phishing, or fraudulent purposes
• Overload or disrupt the Service infrastructure
• Share content that is defamatory, obscene, or harmful

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these policies without prior notice.

Content Ownership & Responsibility

You retain ownership of all content you upload to PodPad. However:

• You are solely responsible for the content you share
• You grant us a limited license to store and display your content for the purpose of providing the Service
• We do not claim ownership of your content
• Content may be automatically deleted based on your expiration settings

Data Deletion & Expiration

PodPad is designed around temporary content sharing with the following expiry rules:

• Guest PodPads: Automatically and permanently deleted after 3 hours — no recovery.
• Free User PodPads: Automatically and permanently deleted after expiry (3 hours maximum) — no recovery.
• Pro PodPads (Pro subscribers only): Never auto-deleted. After expiry they become "inactive" and remain in your dashboard. You can reactivate them at any time. They are only permanently deleted on manual action.
• View-count expiry: Content is permanently deleted after reaching the specified view count limit (available on Pro PodPads).
• Manual deletion: Any user can permanently delete their own PodPads at any time.

Important: Hard-deleted content cannot be recovered under any circumstances. We do not maintain content backups. Only anonymized usage metadata (no content) is retained for analytics.

Payment & Subscriptions

For Pro subscriptions:

• Payments are processed securely via PayU payment gateway
• Subscriptions are billed monthly at ₹99/month (promotional pricing may apply with valid promo codes)
• You can cancel your subscription at any time
• Upon cancellation, you retain Pro features until the end of the billing period
• After subscription ends, your account reverts to Free plan limits
• No refunds are provided for partial months

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Security or preservation of data

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PodPad and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your content
• Any third-party conduct or content

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Engaging in illegal activities
• Abuse of the Service or other users
• Any reason at our sole discretion

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and all your content may be deleted.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of India.
